Community Care Plan
+ Papa

We are working with Papa
to offer you a Papa Pal.

Papa Pals offer a hand to help,
a shoulder to lean on,
and an ear to listen —
when, where, and how
you need it most.

How Papa helps

A Friend

Papa Pals love a card game, a walk down memory lane, or a new recipe.

Transportation

Papa Pals can help give you a ride to a doctor’s appointment, do tasks, or pick up groceries.

Everyday Tasks

Papa Pals can help with light household tasks and yard work, pets, get meals ready, and more. Papa Pals can also play with the kids, make snacks, or help get homework done*.

Devices

Papa Pals can help you set up and learn how to use phones, computers, and social media to stay in touch with loved ones, enjoy games, and more.

Grocery Door Drop

Food right to your front door. Papa Pals will shop for and deliver the groceries you order (costs not included).

Virtual Visits

We make it easy to have a Papa Pal, no matter where you are. A companion and support are just a phone call or video away.

*Children must be over the age of 3 and at least one parent or guardian is required to be present.

Ask Us Anything

How many hours of time do I get with my Papa Pal? Is there a cost?

Community Care Plan gives you 60 hours of Papa Pal service hours every year. There is no cost to you.

What types of support and services can Papa Pals help me with?

Papa Pals do a lot, but they don’t do it all. They can help with companionship, household tasks, transportation, errands, meal prep, computers, phones, pet help, and more.

They don’t help with things that may need more special medical care, like bathing, giving medicines, dressing, toileting (including diaper changing), brushing teeth, physical feeding, and ambulating.

How do Papa Pals qualify? Do they follow COVID-19 guidelines?

You can trust our Papa Pals. They follow COVID-19 safety guidelines, they have criminal background checks (federal and state), a motor vehicle record check, and take part in ongoing training and education.

I love my Papa Pal. Can I request the same one for all my visits?

Yes! You can ask for your “favorite” Papa Pal for every visit. If they are available at your planned time, they will be there!

Can Papa Pals take my dog for a walk without me?

Yes! As long as you and your pet are okay with it. You can go together too!

How do I opt-in or out of having a Papa Pal?

To sign up or if you change your mind and no longer want to be in the Papa program, please call Papa at 1-855-224-3436.
